The Heat Mat under floor heating systems are simple and trouble free to install. The unique design of the Heat Mat allows the under floor heating to be cut and turned. This attribute allows the under floor heating system to be custom cut around any obstacles and can be placed in any unusually shaped rooms. This cut and turn feature provides Heat Mat with a clear advantage over the rigid under floor heating mats. The Heat Mat under floor heating systems also comes with a full lifetime warranty.
The 160w/m2 under floor heating systems are best situated under carpet, vinyl or bonded wooden floors. The 160w/m2 under floor system is predominantly used as a secondary heat source within the house, working along side another source of heat. However, the 160w/m2 classification can be used as primary heat source, providing the room is well insulated.
If you are using the 160w/m2 under floor heating system with carpet, bonded wood or vinyl, then they system must be used in conjunction with a Mira Thermoplan self-leveler. Click here for more information on the Mira Thermoplan self-leveling compound.
For the best efficiency, insulation boards should be used underneath the Heat Mat heating systems. Click here for more information on Heat Mat Insulation Boards.
If there is limited build height available, the Heat Mat systems are recommended to be used in conjunction with an i-primer. Click here for more information on the Heat Mat i-primer.
This product requires a Heat Mat thermostat to operate. Click here to browse our range of Heat Mat Thermostats.
