The Astro Edge Reader Mini Reading Light in Bronze is a minimal, contemporary design cast in zinc and featuring individually switched ambient and reading lights. Both light sources are integrated LED for optimum efficiency and minimal maintenance. This compact reading light can be used vertically or horizontally either side of a bed. The ambient light source casts a warm glow on the wall while the adjustable reading light provides low glare, directional light perfect for night time reading. Cast in Zinc which has strong eco benefits being 100% recyclable and using less energy in the casting process. Zinc provides a high quality, robust and durable finish. Astro's 3 year guarantee reflects our confidence in the Edge's durability. A convenient screw pack is provided for mounting on a solid wall. You may need to purchase a different mounting kit if you plan to mount to plaster or another non-solid wall. The Edge's IP20 rating makes it suitable for indoor use only. This reading light is Class I - Earthed for your safety. All Astro products include comprehensive diagramatic instructions. Complete with convenient screw pack which includes the screws and fixings required for mounting on a solid wall. Featuring non-dimmable integrated LEDs for energy efficiency and low maintenance. The integrated 9.7W LEDs provide 80 CRI and a cosy and warm ambiance with a colour temperature of 2700K. The LEDs produce 112 lumens, or brightness in excess of a traditional 25W bulb. With a synthesis of mould-breaking contemporary design, advanced materials technology and the latest mid-power LEDs, Astro has created The Edge - a striking sculptural form with a halo of light. Its pure white panels appear to float on nothing but a mesmerising glow. Clean, contemporary lines characterise a design which is imposing in its effect yet disarming in its simplicity. Conceived to suffuse light into darkness through the subtle interplay of brightness and shadow, The Edge will enhance and embolden lighting schemes for domestic or contract interiors. The Edge is formed from layers of laser-cut acrylic, with an etched finish to the edges through which the light from the body of the product diffuses. Interleaved between the acrylic panels, layers of white painted metal enhance the effect of radiance.
